This interdisciplinary major brings together Classics, Philosophy and Religious Studies, which are foundational to a liberal arts education. Students build skills in ethical reasoning, teamwork, communication and creative work.
The major combines introductory courses in each discipline, upper-level electives and team-taught interdisciplinary seminars. Students can range broadly or focus on classical culture, classical languages, philosophy or religious studies, leading toward work in teaching, law, government, the arts, nonprofits, ministry, marketing and management.
Marshall publishes the full course requirements, the general education core and the sequencing of major courses in its online undergraduate catalog. Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor to plan each term, confirm prerequisites and see how the major fits with minors or electives they may wish to add.
