AA/AS in Computer Science

This associate degree is meant for students who want to continue toward a bachelor's in either computer science or data science. Its structure assumes that most students will move to a university after finishing at Massasoit. Students come to understand how computer hardware and software work together. They write programs in languages at both high and low levels, among them Java, Python, and Assembly, and they practice designing algorithms that are secure as well as correct. The outcomes also include analytical thinking and strong interpersonal skills. The pathway may be eligible for MassTransfer, so applicants should check with a participating state university.
