AA/AS in Accounting and Related Services

The Accounting option within Business Administration Careers helps students gain specific skills for a range of business jobs. It is designed for those pursuing accounting, auditing, financial advising, or tax preparation. Students concentrate on a sequence of courses called an option. The structure lets someone whose interests shift after the first semester change options or move into the transfer program without making up courses, and advisors encourage consultation before choosing. Outcomes include applying business concepts to problems, analyzing information for decisions, communicating to business audiences, working in teams, and considering ethics. The department also offers management, marketing, and transfer options.
