AA/AS in Sociology

Sociology at Merced College invites students to study how individual lives connect to wider communities and social systems. Coursework encourages analytical thinking and a sense of responsibility toward others, and it asks students to look at familiar social patterns from unfamiliar angles. The pathway is built for students who intend to transfer, including those aiming at a teaching credential through the California State University system.
