Program details

Overview

Economics is presented as the analysis of how an economic system is organized and operates. Most courses in the Economics BS center on Western market economies, although lessons from other countries are acknowledged. The program also supplies courses for every major in the business college. The economics major itself has two tracks, including a business economics track that prepares students for quantitative work such as market research. The university is accredited and belongs to the Minnesota State system. Undergraduates apply through the system's shared application, then declare the major once any added admission conditions are met. Advisors within the relevant college help students plan their courses, and anyone considering the program can ask for more information or tour the campus first.
