Students learn the basics of construction, including blueprint reading, tool use, building materials and job-site safety. Work takes place in a year-round lab that contains a full indoor house. The program is completed in a single semester and builds skills that employers in the trades value. Completing the program leads to a technical degree from Mid-State Technical College, with 11 credits required and a planned length of less than one year. Classes are offered at Wisconsin Rapids.
