BA/BS in Criminology

The Bachelor of Science in Criminology prepares students for work in policing, the justice system, forensic investigation and homeland security. Strong theory is combined with hands-on training so graduates are ready to serve as professionals and leaders working on preventing crime, the courts and corrections, and vulnerable groups. The degree also lays groundwork for law school, social work, civil service and further study. Applied learning opportunities support the program's aim of producing ethical leaders for criminal justice, social services and legal fields. The major also runs through the university's evening and online division, and a minor is available.
