BA/BS in Anthropology

Anthropology majors look at how people have lived, connected and made things over time, drawing on evidence from earlier eras to make sense of the present day. Students gain grounding in the science of humanity and a respect for cultural variety, and they may pursue a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science. The Pick Museum of Anthropology on campus gives majors a place to do practical research. Internship possibilities vary widely, from collecting oral histories for a museum to planning an enclosure for primates at a zoo. The training suits graduates who want careers in education, research or managing nonprofit organizations, as well as other roles in a global and culturally mixed economy. Every applicant is automatically evaluated for a merit scholarship that can be renewed in later years.
