BA/BS in Economics

Old Dominion University offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in economics. The program looks at how businesses and individuals make decisions under different market and economic conditions. Beginning in fall 2021 the degree has also been delivered online, with required and elective courses taught in both asynchronous and synchronous formats. The introductory economics principles courses and other prerequisites for upper-level classes can already be taken online. Any student at the university may minor in economics. The minor needs the two principles courses plus four economics courses at the 300 or 400 level, and these can often count toward other requirements, including the upper-level general education requirement. A three-year timeline for completing the bachelor's degree is also published by the department.
