Cert in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services, Other

The Web Design certificate, offered by the Business and Computing Division, qualifies students to seek beginning jobs web page design. It is not eligible for financial aid. Students take two courses in web page design and two in JavaScript, learning to build functioning pages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Each course needs a C or better. The curriculum is arranged across two semesters, with two courses in each, so a student can finish the certificate in a single academic year. Some courses in the program may be offered only once per academic year, which students should consider when planning their schedule. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor at Orange Coast College to review course selections and sequencing so the plan fits their academic and career goals. Full course requirements and the suggested plan of study appear in the 2026-2027 catalog entry.
