AA/AS in Psychology, General

This transfer pathway lets students complete the first two years of a psychology bachelor's degree at Owens. It introduces research methods, human behavior and the social sciences. Coursework satisfies Ohio Transfer Module requirements and mixes psychology with writing, mathematics, arts and science electives. Planning with an advisor helps align each term with the receiving institution. Graduates continue toward careers in counseling, social services, education or research after finishing a bachelor's degree. The associate of arts is an economical way to start that journey. The program page lists 62-65 required credit hours. Small classes give students steady, direct access to instructors, who offer individual guidance and feedback as learners work toward their goals. Advisors help map each semester so the plan fits the intended career or transfer destination.
