MA/MS in Architecture

Rochester Institute of Technology offers a Master of Architecture that holds NAAB accreditation and centers on studio-based design. In the studio, construction technology, materials science and mechanics are folded into each project, so students learn to treat a building as one coordinated system. Sustainability runs through the curriculum. Students investigate buildings that produce energy, high-performance construction, climate-responsive strategies and passive resilience, always keeping in mind the people, spaces and environment a design must serve. Applicants may come from the building design sector or from outside it. A professional co-op provides work experience before graduation, and learners can follow the program in a traditional campus setting or entirely online. Full-time international students on F-1 visas may be eligible for STEM OPT after finishing.
