AA/AS in Hospitality Administration/Management

Hospitality at Shasta College covers hotel and restaurant operations and prepares students for varied positions in the industry. Employers include hotels, restaurants, clubs, schools, food producers, airlines, railways, and cruise lines. Students can choose an associate degree aimed at management positions or a transfer degree that satisfies requirements for continuing in Hospitality Management at a California State University campus. The program is part of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality area of study. An academic plan on the page lays out the courses for each degree, and related areas such as accounting, business, and culinary arts are linked nearby. A counselor can help each student turn the academic plan into an official education plan, which is the recommended first step. The associate degree prepares students for roles in lodging, dining, and food service operations.
