AA/AS in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management

The Computer Support Specialist program belongs to the computer information systems family and aims to equip students for support roles in the field. It explains the concepts, principles and techniques that underlie computer information processing. Students are expected to gain breadth in the arts, the social sciences and the natural sciences. They also build technical grounding in computing vocabulary, program design and development, and networking. The plan of study mixes general education, occupational courses, a guided office productivity course and CIST electives. It is offered at the Americus and Cordele campuses, with entry available each semester. Sixty-two credits are needed to finish. Students select an office productivity course and complete a set of information technology electives, which lets them tailor part of the plan toward the support work they expect to do after graduation.
