AA/AS in Culinary Arts and Related Services

The Culinary Arts program prepares students to enter the culinary profession directly. They gain classroom and hands-on experience in both cooking and baking, which qualifies them for a range of roles. Students who are interested may follow a Baking Concentration. Every major must complete a work experience requirement in the hospitality industry, and the school's dean can supply the particulars. The program holds accreditation from the American Culinary Federation. Students buy their own uniforms and a knife set in addition to textbooks, and laboratory rules cover jewelry, nail polish and full uniform attire. Interested applicants may look over the posted plan of study to learn which courses are required and how they might be sequenced, send an inquiry to the college, or start the application from the same page, and a listed staff member is available for questions.
