AA/AS in Computer Science

The Computer Science program offers a thorough grounding in the discipline combined with a liberal arts core, consistent with the college's mission. It is designed mainly for students who intend to move on to a four-year school and finish a four-year degree in either computing or software engineering. Students work on writing efficient algorithms and data structures, modeling computing systems through math and logic, and interpreting scientific and computational data when solving problems that cross disciplines. A published degree plan lays out the requirements and a recommended order of courses. Anyone considering the program can open the published degree plan to see what must be completed and in what order, ask the college for more details through an online form, or begin an application straight from the program page, where a named contact handles questions.
