AA/AS in Accounting and Related Services

The Accounting program trains students for jobs in the specialized accounting field. The curriculum combines business and accounting courses, running from introductory principles up to auditing, with liberal arts and science courses. Graduates may qualify as management trainees, tax examiner, auditor, cost accountant, senior clerk, systems analyst and depreciation specialist roles in business, industry and government. Students learn to produce, examine and make sense of financial and management reports, consider legal, ethical and tax issues, and create business documents and presentations with suitable communication techniques and digital tools. A degree plan shows requirements and a suggested sequence. Interested applicants may look over the posted plan of study to learn which courses are required and how they might be sequenced, send an inquiry to the college, or start the application from the same page, and a listed staff member is available for questions.
