PGCert in History

The graduate certificate in Public History trains students for work in museums, archives, historical interpretation and preservation. It can be earned alongside a master's in history or a related field, or on its own. Students take history seminars and electives in history and related areas. Every student completes an internship at a historical institution. Stand-alone applicants apply through the Graduate School as non-degree students in the College of Arts and Sciences and submit a personal statement. History MA students apply separately online and add a recommendation from a university faculty member.
