MA/MS in Public Policy Analysis

Miami's Master of Public Policy is a professional graduate degree offered by political science faculty within the arts and sciences college. Compared with the department's public administration master's, it looks more closely at how policies are created and what they accomplish. Students work heavily with quantitative methods and study how economics shapes government choices, how resources get distributed, and how to model decisions. The new degree draws on the established online and campus administration curriculum. Admission decisions come from the political science graduate program, which reviews each file together with the college. To apply, a candidate must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited school. Applicants should check the program's official page for current application steps, requirements and contacts, since details can change from one admission cycle to the next. Students with questions about fit, timing or next steps can contact the department or school directly for guidance.
