BA/BS in Marketing

The marketing major at Wayne State's Mike Ilitch School of Business is a business administration degree centered on planning products, setting prices, distributing them and promoting them. It shows how marketing creates customer value and helps organizations reach their goals. Students may choose a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science, and three concentrations allow specialization. Courses, in person and online, examine how consumers and organizations buy, along with research and analytics, global marketing, strategy within markets and advertising principles. The program suits students who want to understand how businesses attract customers and shape demand for products and services. Students also meet industry professionals through the Marketing Advisory Board, which runs career workshops on resume writing and interviewing and supports internships.
