— it helps other students.
The Bachelor of Social Work prepares students to practice generalist social work for people, households, small groups, and whole neighborhoods. The program is shaped by a person-in-environment view, a global outlook, and respect for human diversity, with particular attention to urban settings.
Students can study full time or part time with day, evening, weekend, or online classes. Classes meet at the central Detroit campus or entirely online through a dedicated online track, although the two-semester internship of 460 hours cannot be completed online. Two specialized minors are offered, in social work and social justice and in law and social work.
Students who want both a BSW and an MSW can use accelerated options that count designated courses toward both degrees at the undergraduate tuition rate.
