Program details

Overview

This Master of Science in aerospace systems engineering concentrates on fluids or structures as they apply to flight vehicles. The coursework joins theory with practical experience to prepare graduates for employment or for doctoral study. The program is unusual because students must complete an interdisciplinary minor in an area relevant to aerospace. Students train in modern laboratories for wind tunnel work, materials and structural testing, and controls. The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering administers the degree, and undergraduates in mechanical engineering can begin it through a combined program. Wright State's advisors can explain how coursework in aerospace systems engineering is sequenced, which requirements apply, and how current students move through each stage toward completion. Interested applicants should consult the program page and the relevant admissions office for current details.
