BA/BS in Civil Engineering

This ABET-accredited Bachelor of Engineering is designed for completion in four years. Students start with mathematics and science before advancing into civil engineering coursework. The curriculum is built to prepare students for professional engineering roles after graduation, and the faculty include licensed engineers who maintain their credentials through continued learning. Learning extends outside class by way of co-ops, internships, lab work, undergraduate research and contests such as Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge. Graduates are prepared for work in structural, geotechnical, transportation, water resources and environmental engineering. Faculty hold doctorates and professional engineering licenses and keep current through continuing education. Students begin careers in civil engineering or continue to graduate study after completing the accredited curriculum.
