PGCert in Education, Other

This certificate serves teachers who pursue a Teacher Leader Endorsement aligned with Ohio's Teacher Leader Framework. It is aimed at those who want formal or informal leadership roles while remaining in the classroom. Applicants are expected to be experienced teachers who already hold or are earning a master's degree. The four courses can be completed in about a year and are offered online, so working professionals can study alongside their jobs. Topics include instructional leadership, data coaching, building adult learner capacity and ethical leadership. Applicants need a current teaching license, teaching experience, a master's degree or current master's enrollment, and two letters of recommendation. Learning outcomes center on collaborative school culture, data-informed decisions, adult learning and ongoing professional growth.
