MA/MS in Curriculum and Instruction

This master's program offers advanced preparation for practicing teachers. Specializations include Literacy, a Teacher Leader area, digital approaches to teaching and learning, and other content areas the university offers. Faculty members come from the teacher education and leadership department. The department focuses on growing professionals who think carefully about their own practice and put what they know into action so every learner can succeed. Emphasis falls on scholarship, teaching, leadership and working well with others. Choosing a content-area specialization could open the door to teaching dual-enrollment courses. Prospective students can phone the department office for details about each specialization. The mission is to support teachers in professional practice, and faculty work with practicing professionals in areas such as scholarship, management and communication.
