Overview
In 1918, the Clinical Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians, which had included 24 departments for twenty years, was founded.
Became Kyiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in 1996, and in 1998 it was named after Platon Shupyk and in 2006 it became a national academy, taking the name Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Nacional’na medychna akademija pisljadyplomnoji osvity imeni P.L. Shupyka).
Acquired current title and status 2021. The institution became the first medical institution in Ukraine, to become a member of the International Personnel Academy of UNESCO (2001), a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences (2008), a member of the European Association of Medical Education (2011)
