Certificate in Pre Health Science (Full-Time)

Barbados Community College's Certificate in Pre Health Science (Full-Time) is built as a bridge into the College's health-science majors rather than a destination in itself. To earn the Pre-Health Certificate, students must pass at least four examined subjects — English and Mathematics among them — scoring 50% or better in each. Graduates can then move into further local training across the College's other health programmes — nursing, environmental health inspection, medical laboratory work, health information management, pharmacy and rehabilitation therapy — with the Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology and Environmental Health Inspection routes specifically requiring 60% or higher in Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Beyond grades, the programme also expects students to show the attitudes expected of a future health-care provider.
