BA/BS in Accounting

Galen University's Accounting program is built to give students the knowledge, skills and professional values needed to succeed after graduation, with a curriculum designed around students' own career interests inside the field. Because the program carries accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), graduates become eligible for exemptions on several ACCA examinations, shortening the path toward that international qualification. The degree also lays groundwork for the Uniform CPA exam for students aiming at the Certified Public Accountant designation. Since both the ACCA and CPA routes expect practical experience, Galen pairs the classroom work with an accounting internship, giving students supervised, on-the-job exposure and professional networking so they can put what they have studied into practice in a live work setting. Galen separately offers a shorter Accounting Certificate aimed at working adults or bachelor's graduates from other business fields who want focused technical accounting training.
