Overview
This four-year Bachelor of Arts in English offers courses across all major literary genres, including drama, fiction, poetry, and prose, drawing on writers and thinkers from the medieval period to the present and from around the world. The curriculum develops close reading, literary analysis, and academic and creative writing skills across a range of historical periods, national literatures, and cultural traditions. Students study individual authors, literary movements, and critical approaches to text, building both breadth across genres and depth in areas of particular interest.
