The one-year Project Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares you for a rewarding career in project management. Project management is a highly sought discipline that applies technical, leadership and business strategy skills to plan and execute projects effectively and efficiently. There is a growing demand for project managers in the global economy. Our experienced faculty are dedicated to preparing you to thrive in a project leadership position. Algonquin College is a Registered Education Provider (REP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI)® and is approved by the PMI® to issue Professional Development Units (PDUs) for its training programs. Learn to move a project along its lifecycle phases through the application of concepts, strategies and best practices. Acquire creative, practical and advanced expertise that contributes to ensuring overall project success via the combination of in-class and practical learning activities. Get hands-on project experience via a work integrated learning opportunity, which serves as a vehicle for incorporating and applying skills obtained during the academic studies and providing an opportunity to handle real-life situations. Learn the tools, perspective and expertise necessary to successfully achieve results and deliver value. Develop a critical understanding of tools, techniques, principles and performance domains according to A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)®. Students also have the option to gain real-world experience through a paid co-operative education (co-op) work term (see Additional Information for more details). Please note that places in the co-op work term are subject to availability and academic eligibility. Please note admission to the co-op program does not guarantee a co-op placement. Upon graduation, you may find employment as a project management practitioner in a wide range of national, international, profit and non-profit organizations. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission is post-diploma/post-degree entry: Algonquin requires an Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, or Degree, or equivalent. International or non-Canadian transcripts must be assessed through ICAS or WES. The program's own published English-proficiency requirement is IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, OR TOEFL iBT overall 88 with a minimum of 22 in each component for tests taken before 21 January 2026 (the same page separately lists a rescaled overall 4.5 with a 4.5 component minimum for tests taken from that date), OR Duolingo English Test overall 120 with at least 120 in Literacy and no score below 105.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for September 2027 entry the application portal opens 26 September 2026, the equal consideration date is 1 February 2027, and offers must be accepted by 1 May 2027, while later applications are still assessed as space allows; Algonquin publishes no separate equal-consideration date for the January 2027 intake. International applicants apply directly via Algonquin's own International Application Portal, not ontariocolleges.ca; instead of one fixed date the college posts a program-by-program closing-date list shortly before each term starts - for Fall 2026 most programs closed 16 September 2026, technology programs by 9-10 September; no Winter 2027 or Fall 2027 international list has been posted yet, so admission remains effectively rolling until each list is published and fills. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
