Overview
The Surface Miner program is a 12-week (360-hour) certificate at Aurora College that provides entry-level knowledge, skills, and attitudes aligned with the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MIHR) National Occupational Standards for Surface Miners. Training combines classroom instruction with field-based practice, including simulator use and on-site training at Aurora College's Open Pit Training Site.
