Business Administration - Insurance and Risk Management Major Diploma

This two-year, four-term diploma from Bow Valley College's Chiu School of Business prepares students to identify, assess, and manage risk across areas such as the environment, technology, people, organizations, and politics. Coursework builds skills in assessing risks, reducing threats, and developing strategies that keep uncertainty within acceptable levels. The program supports progress toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) industry designations. Core courses are available in class and online, and major courses are offered in class with some also available online. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in insurance, brokerage, and risk management. The program runs on a Fall, Winter, and Spring intake cycle and is open to both domestic and international students.
