Bachelor of Education (Technical Vocational Route)

Brandon University's Bachelor of Education (Technical Vocational Route) is designed for technical-vocational teachers who have completed the Red River College Technical Vocational teaching diploma. The cohort-based program totals 60 credit hours and is structured so students can complete their studies part-time over three years. Coursework includes 18 credit hours in a minor teachable area (Arts or Science), 12 credit hours of electives, 27 credit hours of education courses, and 3 credit hours of field experience. The cohort model lets diploma holders build on their existing technical-vocational training while adding the pedagogical and field-experience components required for provincial certification. On completion, students earn a Bachelor of Education degree and are recommended to the Professional Certification Unit of Manitoba Education and Training to teach in Manitoba's public schools.
