Overview

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) provides you the opportunity to enhance the skills developed in a diploma programs. You'll broaden your knowledge in the BBA with courses that focus on critical and strategic thinking skills. This is achieved through a group of core of upper level business and general education courses. Opportunities for international study and joint specializations are also available. Upon graduation, you'll have the option to work in a wide variety of industries across British Columbia.

Requirements

Minimum GPA: 70.00 / %

Admission Requirements: Admission requires completion of one of BCIT's eligible Business diplomas (including Accounting, Business Administration options, Business Information Technology Management, Business Management, Finance, Financial Planning, Marketing Management options, and Strategic Human Resources Management) with a minimum overall average of 70%. On top of that, applicants need a minimum combined average of 70% across Business Communications 2, Accounting for Management (or Accounting 2), Essentials of Marketing, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Statistics, with no individual mark below 65%. Applicants submit an Online Assessment Form as part of the application, and international applicants need a valid study permit. Anyone still completing their BCIT diploma in its final term must be on track to finish by May to enter full-time. The program's own page does not restate an English-language proficiency test requirement, since it is satisfied through the prior BCIT diploma's own admission.

Application Details

Start Date: Full-time: September each year. Part-time Flexible Learning: January, April and September.

Application Deadline: Full-time entry is September only and runs in two fixed application rounds set by the program, not on BCIT's common credential dates: first round 2–31 January, second round 1 February – 31 March. The part-time Flexible Learning route runs three intakes on BCIT's common dates: Winter (January) opens 1 February and closes 2 January domestic / 1 November international; Spring/Summer (April) opens 1 May and closes 1 April domestic / 1 February international; Fall (September) opens 1 October and closes 1 September domestic / 2 July international. Dates on a weekend move to the next business day and intakes may fill before the deadline. The September 2026 full-time intake is now closed; applications for the full-time September 2027 intake are accepted from 4 January 2027.
