Overview
The Marketing Management (Marketing Communications Option) Certificate is a part-time Flexible Learning program covering marketing and promotional strategy, with a blended delivery of online and classroom courses. Students learn to develop promotional campaigns and strategies, and study tactics including event marketing, trade shows, corporate communications, traditional advertising, sales promotion, and database marketing. The certificate is designed for those beginning or advancing a career in marketing, public relations, or advertising, and prepares graduates for roles such as marketing coordinator, salesperson, and public relations manager. Course credits can be applied toward continuing education. New courses start in September, January, and April on BCIT's Flexible Learning intake schedule. Admission requires English language proficiency at BCIT's Category 3 level (English Studies 12 at 50% or equivalent). The program is open to international applicants, who require a valid BCIT study permit before starting; it does not meet the field-of-study requirement for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
