Brock University's BA in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, offered through the Faculty of Social Sciences, takes a multi-disciplinary approach to criminal behaviour, law, and the justice system, drawing on psychology, criminology, child and youth studies, and political science. Students examine the individual, social, cultural, and systemic factors that influence criminal and aggressive behaviour and study the institutions making up the criminal justice system. The program is offered as either a four-year Major or Honours degree and includes practicum opportunities with community partners in law enforcement, forensic research, and clinical settings, preparing graduates for careers in law, corrections, counselling, policing, criminology, policy analysis and administration, and advocacy. It combines lecture-based coursework with applied, career-focused training rather than a purely theoretical psychology curriculum.
