The Graduate Diploma in Accountancy (GDAC) is offered by Brock University's Goodman School of Business for graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) program who are working toward the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. The diploma consists of four courses that map to the CPA elective modules — Assurance, Finance, Taxation, and Performance Management — plus one general business elective. Completing the diploma leaves only the Capstone 1 and Capstone 2 modules before candidates are eligible to write the CPA Common Final Examination (CFE). Coursework uses case study analysis, class discussion, presentations, and research papers to build critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills relevant to professional accounting practice. The program begins each January and runs full-time for four months at Brock's main campus in St. Catharines, Ontario. Students who wish to proceed directly to the CFE without completing the GDAC route may instead consider Brock's Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program.
