BA/BS in Accounting

Brock University's Bachelor of Accounting, based in the Goodman School of Business, is built for students aiming specifically at a professional accounting career, combining laboratory-style practice work with case-based analysis and coursework that reflects growing demand for data-analytics skills in the field. The program carries accreditation to the master's level from Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Ontario and is mapped against CPA Ontario's competency framework. A co-op stream lets students accumulate supervised work experience toward the CPA designation, and students from other faculties can take four-credit minors in Business or Management. After finishing the BAcc, graduates can move into the Common Final Exam route through CPA Canada's Professional Education Program, or take Goodman's Master of Accountancy as a faster path to the same exam. Unlike the accounting concentration within the general Business Administration degree, which offers a broader managerial focus, this program is designed around the professional accounting designation itself.
