Overview
Indigenous Studies, offered through Campion College in partnership with First Nations University of Canada and the University of Regina, is a cross-disciplinary program examining Indigenous societies, cultures, and knowledge systems, prioritizing Saskatchewan and Canadian contexts before extending to North American and global perspectives. The program integrates Elder teachings and traditional knowledge alongside academic scholarship, with coursework addressing Indigenous political systems, law, religion, philosophy, and urbanization. It is offered as a 60-credit-hour Diploma, a 120-credit-hour Bachelor of Arts, or a Bachelor of Arts Honours, each open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and completed over four years at the bachelor's level; an 18-credit-hour Minor is also available. Courses are delivered at First Nations University of Canada's Regina, Saskatoon, and Northern campuses. Graduates pursue roles in public administration, community development, government service, and Indigenous community work.

Admission Requirements: The First Nations University of Canada Indigenous Studies program page states its own admission requirement: a minimum 70% average calculated from English Language Arts A30 and B30, either Foundations of Math 30 or Pre-Calculus 30, and two additional approved 30-level courses in Math, Science, Language, or Social Science. International and other applicants must also meet the University of Regina's English language proficiency requirement, satisfied by an IELTS Academic overall band of 6.5 (no band below 6.0), a TOEFL iBT (1-6 scale) overall score of 4.5 with each of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing at least 4, a PTE Academic score of 59 (no area below 59), a Duolingo English Test score of 120, or a CAEL score of 60, unless prior education was completed in English.
