The Actuarial Science program at the University of Regina leads to a Bachelor of Science, taking four to five years to complete, and is offered through the Faculty of Science jointly with the university's federated colleges, including Campion College. The program applies mathematics, statistics, and risk theory to the design of insurance and pension products, and is the only program of its kind in Saskatchewan and one of eleven in Canada accredited by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Coursework covers actuarial mathematics and models, finance, accounting, statistics, probability, and economics, preparing students for professional actuarial examinations alongside the degree. Admission pathways differ depending on whether a student enters directly from high school, transfers from another institution, or applies as a mature or international student. Graduates report close to full hiring success in the actuarial field, moving into roles as actuaries, financial analysts, data analysts, and investment analysts across banking, insurance, pension, and risk-management sectors.
