Overview
International Studies at the University of Regina, offered through Campion College together with the University of Regina and First Nations University of Canada, leads to a Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Arts Honours, over four years, examining the political, economic, and cultural structures connecting countries worldwide. Students choose between two areas of concentration: International Affairs, focused on the political, economic, and cultural dimensions of global issues, or International Development, addressing topics such as poverty alleviation and displacement. Coursework draws on political science, history, and anthropology, taught in small classes with close faculty contact. Students can pursue study-abroad terms at partner institutions in cities including Barcelona, Shanghai, Seoul, and Milan, and Regina's location as Saskatchewan's capital supports co-op placements and internships connected to government and international organizations. A standalone Certificate in International Studies is available for students wanting a shorter credential. Graduates pursue careers in federal and provincial government, diplomatic service, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
