Upcoming Intake: Fall 2026: College Drive – North Bay Prepare for a meaningful career in this critical health care profession. Gain the skills, knowledge and leadership necessary to succeed in this relevant career field. Training is student-centred and interprofessional, and professors work with partners in the community to provide students with diverse, real-world experiences. Clinical practice focuses on mental health, acute care, home care, public health, gerontology and maternal and child health. Graduates will be eligible to write the nurse registration examination, and upon successful completion, can apply for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and will be able to practise as nursing professionals in a variety of clinical settings.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent with six Grade 12 4U/4M credits including English, Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry, and a minimum 70% admission average, per the program's own page. Applicants must also meet the College of Nurses of Ontario's Requisite Skills and Abilities standards for safe practice, and mandatory work-integrated learning placements apply. As a degree program it falls under Canadore's High-Demand Health & Degree tier: IELTS Academic 7.0 with no band below 6.5, TOEFL iBT 94 or above with no section below 26 (or, for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026, 5.5 overall with no section below 5.5), PTE Academic 70 with no section below 58, Duolingo English Test 125 with no band below 120, Cambridge English 185 or above, CELPIP 9, or Oxford ELLT 8.0, taken within two years of application. Domestic applicants need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student status (19 or older, via Accuplacer testing) if they lack one, and apply through Ontario Colleges.
