Upcoming intakes: There are no planned intakes for this program for the upcoming academic year. This program is intended for internationally educated nurses (IENs) who have an International Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing degree and who are seeking the opportunity for further preparation to apply to the College of Nurses of Ontario for regulatory licensing. In accordance with the Professional Standards for Registered Nurses in Ontario, students will learn to provide safe, ethical, competent care for a diverse client population in the province of Ontario as a member of the health care team.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires a post-secondary degree in Nursing from an accredited program, current registration and ability to practise in the applicant's home state or country (evidenced by a letter or membership card), and a current employer letter verifying employment as a nurse, per the program's own page. As a Graduate Certificate program it falls under Canadore's Aviation & Graduate Certificate tier: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 86 or above with no section below 21 (or, for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026, 4.5 overall with no section below 4.5), PTE Academic 60 with no section below 53, Duolingo English Test 120 with no band below 105, Cambridge English 176 or above, CELPIP 8, or Oxford ELLT 7.0, taken within two years of application. Domestic applicants need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student status (19 or older, via Accuplacer testing) if they lack one, and apply through Ontario Colleges.
