Upcoming Intake: There are no planned intakes for this program for the upcoming academic year. Start your career in the emerging field of genomics. This program integrates molecular and cellular-based strategies to study the structure, function and regulation of an individual's genomic legacy. Learn to apply techniques such as genotyping and next generation sequencing to unlock the power of the genome. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the pathogenesis of diseases and learning how genetic variation interacts with an individual's environment, nutrition, and lifestyle. Canadore’s new innovative genomics laboratory is equipped with some of the most leading-edge technology in Canada including four DNA sequencers that provide the capacity for research in areas such as pharmacology, addictions, and disease prevention.

Minimum GPA:2.50 / 4.0
Admission Requirements: Admission is open to graduates of a 2- or 3-year Biotechnology diploma (Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree, or equivalent) with a minimum 'C+' average or cumulative 2.5 GPA, to holders of an undergraduate health science degree, or to licensed healthcare providers (MD, ND, RPh, RN, CN, DMD, or DC), per the program's own page. As a Graduate Certificate program it falls under Canadore's Aviation & Graduate Certificate tier: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 86 or above with no section below 21 (or, for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026, 4.5 overall with no section below 4.5), PTE Academic 60 with no section below 53, Duolingo English Test 120 with no band below 105, Cambridge English 176 or above, CELPIP 8, or Oxford ELLT 7.0, taken within two years of application. Domestic applicants need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student status (19 or older, via Accuplacer testing) if they lack one, and apply through Ontario Colleges.
