Overview
Fully online Ontario College Graduate Certificate covering research design concepts, analysis and the quality assurance required for daily operations in the clinical research field. Students examine clinical studies across the pharmaceutical, medical device and natural health product sectors, work alongside industry professionals and develop a network of contacts ahead of graduation, preparing for roles such as clinical research assistant, clinical research associate and clinical trials monitor. Two-semester format with January, May and September starts and a part-time option.

Admission Requirements: This graduate/postgraduate certificate requires a prior Ontario university or college degree, diploma, or equivalent in life sciences, nursing, or a related field of study, including physical-science coursework such as chemistry and biology; applicants with only partial postsecondary study may still qualify if they can show significant relevant work experience, supported by a resume and references. Canadian citizens or permanent residents whose credential was earned outside Canada must submit a credential evaluation from WES or ICAS. The programme page defers English-language proficiency to Seneca's institution-wide graduate-certificate standard rather than publishing its own scores: international applicants must meet Seneca's published English requirement, and the page directs applicants to select their home country for country-specific documentation, noting that further documents or assessments may be requested upon request.

The January 2027 and May 2027 intakes opened on 1 October 2025 and carry no equal-consideration date, with earliest confirmation deadlines of 1 November 2025 and 1 March 2027. International applicants apply directly to Seneca, are assessed on a rolling basis with no fixed closing date, and are admitted up to the first day of classes or until a program fills, whichever comes first. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
