Trades - Apprenticeship in Electrician – Construction and Maintenance Apprenticeship

Electrician – Construction and Maintenance Apprenticeship is a Canadore College programme for registered apprentices, delivered part-time and on-campus at the Commerce Court Campus, that builds the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work as an electrician in the construction and maintenance trade. The in-school portion consists of three training levels, each one day per week for 39 weeks, totalling 270 hours per level, and covers the Canadian Electrical Code, electrical theory, installation methods, instrumentation and electronics. Graduates can pursue roles such as commercial electrician, residential service electrician or maintenance electrician, or self-employment in the trade. Admission is restricted to individuals who are signed apprentices registered with Skilled Trades Ontario.
