Overview
The Motorcycle Technician Apprenticeship trains signed apprentices in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of motorcycles, covering electrical and electronic systems, fuel systems, engine systems, powertrains and motorcycle chassis. Delivered in a day-release format at the Commerce Court Campus, the program runs across two levels; each level is one day per week for 40 weeks, totalling 240 hours of in-school instruction. Successful completion of both levels makes graduates eligible to challenge the Ontario Certificate of Qualification exam for the trade. Graduates typically work as motorcycle technicians, service managers, service writers, parts persons or sales staff within motorcycle dealerships and repair shops. New intakes are accepted monthly. Enrolment requires an active registration as a signed apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario before applying to the program.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must be signed apprentices registered with Skilled Trades Ontario (STO) before enrolling in this program; those not yet registered should consult skilledtradesontario.ca for information on becoming a registered apprentice in the trade.
