Overview
The Business Administration Diploma is where you would receive training across numerous business concepts, with courses in accounting, finance, strategic management, economics, marketing and more. You'll have the opportunity to take three elective business courses during the diploma, with subjects including money and banking, business administration, finance, international business and logistics and retail marketing. After completing the first two years of the Business Administration diploma, you'll have the option to move into the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires B.C. high school graduation with English Studies 12, English 12, or English First Peoples 12 at a C+ (or the Capilano English Diagnostic Test result placing into ENGL 100, an LPI essay score of 24 at essay level 4, or a CAEL score of 70), plus a Grade 11/12 mathematics course at the stated minimum: Principles of Math 11 (C), Pre-calculus 11 (pass), Foundations of Math 11 (C), Capilano's BMTH 044/BMTH 048 (C), MATH 096/MATH 097 (C), Applications of Math 12 (pass), Apprenticeship & Workplace Mathematics 12 (B), Foundations of Math 12 (pass), Principles of Math 12 (pass), Pre-calculus 12 (pass), BMTH 054 (pass), or BTEC 115 (B-). Applicants who completed their previous education in a language other than English must meet Capilano's general English-language proficiency requirement, published on the university's admission-requirements page: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6; TOEFL iBT 83 (or, from Spring 2027, 4.5 overall with no section below 4.0 on the redesigned scale); CAEL 70; PTE Academic 56; or Duolingo English Test 125+ with no sub-score below 115 (accepted on a temporary basis).
