Overview
The North American Business Management Post Baccalaureate DIploma (NABU) builds knowledge of business management skills for a career in North America for students from around the world. This program structure provides opportunities for international students and new permanent residents an opportunity to gain North American business credentials, English language practice and hands-on work experience. In this post baccalaureate diploma in business management, you'll have the opportunity to study both the social and government sectors of North American business and explore important management practices learned from our instructors and working with community partners.

Admission Requirements: This programme is not currently accepting new applications, per Capilano's own programme page. Where it is open, entry requires completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, with preference given to applicants scoring 3.0 or higher over their final two years of study. Applicants who were not educated in English must demonstrate English language proficiency: TOEFL 560 paper-based/83 internet-based, IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0), CAEL 70, PTE Academic 56, CapU EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ in each, or completion of the articulated level through an approved Pathway Partner. Applicants submit a resume or experience summary; those without a business or economics background must also complete a Business Essentials course. The programme is not intended for Capilano Bachelor of Business Administration graduates, as it duplicates that coursework.

Application Deadline:Domestic and international applicants both apply through EducationPlannerBC: the domestic application fee is $50 CAD and the international fee is $135 CAD, each covering up to two programmes. Capilano University publishes no university-wide application-opening or closing date for either group for the 2026-27 cycle; its how-to-apply pages instruct applicants to check the application and document deadlines on their chosen programme's own page, since every programme sets its own intake window there. Admission is effectively rolling at the institution level, governed programme by programme, with some programmes (for example the Health Care Assistant Certificate) publishing a fixed intake window that opens and closes months ahead of the start date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
