Cert in AEC Comptabilité

This programme trains students to provide technical support for an organisation's financial planning, organisation, coordination, analysis, and control activities. Coursework covers the full accounting cycle, budgeting, payroll management, taxation, internal control, and cost determination, along with the use of accounting software. Students learn to act as an intermediary between departments, suppliers, and clients on financial and accounting matters. The programme is delivered mostly online with an internship completed in person in the student's region of Quebec. Admission requires meeting the general AEC admission conditions, completing a questionnaire, and passing a selection interview. Graduates receive an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) in Comptabilité from Cégep de Granby and are prepared for accounting technician roles in businesses, non-profits, and public organisations, handling bookkeeping, payroll, taxation support, and financial reporting tasks.
